Date sent: Wed, 20 Dec 2000 Hi Judy, just got back on Sunday after 3 very enjoyable weeks at Pelican. I am not sure if you have already heard about it but a car went for a swim in the A pool on Saturday, December 9th!! It was in the parking lot in front of Beaumontia, went over the small ledge, through the hedge and went in the pool. Fortunately no one was underneath the area it dropped over, I am sure they would have been killed/severely injured having the car fall about 4 feet on top of them if it had been earlier in the day. It took about an hour to pull the car out. The pool had to be drained, repainted and repaired where they pulled the car over the edge. It was back in use by Wednesday. I hope the attached JPEG photos will be of interest and "prove" that this actually did happen! I did not hear what went wrong for the driver-if they were parked and took off in the wrong direction or were parking and didn't stop in time. Regards, Roger Fayle,
