Candidate Statement: I seek election to the Board of Directors to use my leadership and negotiation skills to represent the interests of the Pelican Resort and owners. We are clearly in a period of growth that has caused many to experience “growing pains” as we build the Marina Residences. We also see significant growth everywhere on the island. I will try to ensure that our voices are being heard regarding the need to upgrade the island infrastructure, e.g. roads, law enforcement, etc., to keep up with the pace of growth. This is an exciting and uncertain time of growth and these things cannot be left as they are. If elected I can commit to doing my very best for the resort owners, resort management and employees. Our resort can be a great place to relax and enjoy, while maintaining a fiscally sound future, and providing necessary jobs for island residents.
