EXCHANGE PROGRAM

EXCHANGE PROGRAM RULES AND PROCEDURES
Members of all Royal Resorts can use the online form.
 

Please read the Rules and Procedures and then access the forms from the bottom of the page.

1. Only units submitted by affiliated resort Members / Owners in good standing are available for this member to member / owner to owner exchange program. Exchanges are based on villa for villa, suite for suite, room for room, studio for studio, one-bedroom for one-bedroom, two-bedroom for two-bedroom, three-bedroom for three-bedroom. (NOTE: Three-bedroom units will be exchanged as a villa / sleep 5 or 6. Studio sleep 2 will be exchanged as a room or lock-off. Studio sleep 4 will be exchanged as a one-bedroom, suite, or like studio sleep 4).

2. Units for rent and units offered for sale by the marketing company are not available in the exchange program. INTERVAL / WEEK REQUESTED CANNOT BE THE SAME AS INTERVAL / WEEK OFFERED (EXCEPT IN THE INSTANCE OF A RETRADE).

3. The exchange program is fully automated through a proprietary computer system on a first come first serve basis. IN SOME CASES EXCHANGES REQUESTED DURING HOLIDAYS AND OTHER HIGH SEASON PERIODS WILL BE MORE DIFFICULT TO CONFIRM.

4. Location priority is assigned to beach front units. If a beach front exchange is not available, the system will search for an off beach unit to fulfill the exchange request. Unit location can not be guaranteed. Unit size at Club Internacional, Cancun cannot be guaranteed; a villa may be for 5 or 6 occupants. The overriding system criteria is member unit availability.

5. Exchange requests may be submitted by mail or fax on the form provided by ISCO or a facsimile thereof. We also honor requests made using the online form.

6. Exchange requests may be submitted up to 12 months prior to the interval / week requested or the interval / week owned, whichever occurs first. ISCO will acknowledge receipt of the exchange request within 10 business days. Requests cannot be processed after 65 days prior to the above mentioned dates. Sixty (60) days prior to the interval / week date requested or the interval / week owned, whichever occurs first. All unconfirmed requests will be returned to the requesting member / owner with their fee (if check was submitted)

7. The current change fee is $99.00 U.S. Dollars per week. The fee must accompany the request. ONCE AN EXCHANGE IS CONFIRMED, THE FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE.

8. Once an exchange is confirmed the trade is FINAL. You may cancel an exchange only prior to a confirmed exchange. A confirmed exchange cannot be canceled as subsequent confirmed exchanges would be affected.

9. Exchanges may not be rented or externally exchanged.

10. Should the confirmed exchange become inconvenient, a new exchange (re-trade) request may be submitted with an additional exchange fee ($99.00), using the confirmed exchange as the offered unit. The same procedures and guidelines will apply to the new request.

11. Exchanges will only be considered when the club service fee / maintenance fees and membership payments are current. The annual club service fee / maintenance fee must be paid prior to the beginning of the interval / week owned or prior to the confirmed exchange interval / week start date, whichever occurs first.

12. Exchange requests cannot be processed if the unit is in any of the following programs: (a) any rental program (b) any resale program (c) any other exchange program including but not limited to Interval International (I.I.) or Resort Condominiums International (R.C.I.).

13. PLEASE TAKE THE EXCHANGE CONFIRMATION PAPERWORK TO THE RESORT AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE CHECK-IN.
