Something New-Local group launches ZebraBOT.com, St. Maartens own “pocket market” Internet Search Engine.

Local group launches ZebraBot, the first Internet Search Engine dedicated to St. Maarten, St. Martin exclusively. Now you can View Videos, read articles and keep up with What's Happening on St. Maarten, St. Martin on a daily basis. www.zebrabot.com

Now here’s something most of us have been waiting for. An easier way to Internet search our favorite island.

Ever try to find something in a search of St. Maarten, St. Martin and be taken all around the world? I think most of us have at one time or another. "What can we do to remedy this situation?" a group of local web developers wondered? For our corner of the world, the answer became ZebraBOT, a "pocket market" search engine dedicated to only St. Maarten/ St. Martin.

In the past, If you searched the web for “car rentals, St. Maarten, St. Martin”, you would come up with very few of them before the search engine was off to other destinations and other interpretations of those four keywords and in doing so, virtually eliminated the possibility for most of our St. Maarten, St. Martin websites to be seen

A search request for “car rentals” on www.zebrabot.com

however, will show listings to ONLY those on this island", says Len Schultz, ZebraBOT Director, "No confusion and no misdirection. Everything the island has to offer. Nothing about other markets. Only St. Maarten/ St. Martin. And this is true of all searches whether they be for resorts, activities, restaurants, shopping, etc.

And ZebraBot has even more. Daily Blogs (articles) about St. Maarten, St. Martin that you can respond to and even daily Video Logs (V-Logs) in which they have some fun and feature different island attractions so if you’re missing the island, just log on to see it.

We’re excited to say that ZebraBot will also be featuring our Newsletters as they are issued and on their Front Page too so you can’t miss them. We’re also happy to recommend ZebraBot to all of our subscribers for their information and their entertainment to boot.

SkyMed

SkyMed is pleased to offer to Pelican owners a valuable new benefit.
SkyMed is a member-based company that provides its members with emergency air transportation to their own medical providers when they suffer a critical illness or injury when traveling more than 100 air miles from home. Area of coverage is the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Rates vary, however as an example, we will provide coverage for a family for 7 days for as little as $79.00. Plans can be as few as four days and as long as five years. As an incentive to Pelican members we are offering reduced rates until March 1, 2004. Further information can be viewed on our
web site at or you can call our office at 800-475-9633. It is important to note that if a member requires our services they are transported to their home base and not the nearest medical facility. A Pelican member, Charles Legg was happy he had enrolled.
Unfortunately, Mr. Legg experienced a serious medical problem and he had to be flown to his hospital in New Jersey. Because he was a SkyMed member, his cost was zero.
