NEW WEB SITE @ pelicannews.net
Hello everyone, I am pleased to announce a new web site for Pelican owners. It
has been designed for me by Roy Martin. He is also a Pelican owner. Roy has
spent several months sorting through all the information on my web site and
organizing it into a more user friendly and readable site. We are looking

Subject: Do Not Use Windward Islands Bank ATMs
In the last few years, there have been several incidents involving fraudulent
duplicate withdrawals made from the Windward Islands Bank ATM in front of Casino
Royale, and we've posted warnings about it. Americans used the ATM and
discovered when they got home that their accounts had been debited for multiples
of the true withdrawal amount.
Now we hear exactly the same thing about the WIB ATM near the Peli Deli at
Pelican Resort. Bottom line: This has gone on for years. At this point, we urge
you to never use any Windward Islands Bank ATM for any reason. Until we hear
that a few people have wound up in the slammer on SXM because of
these fraudulent transactions, this warning stays put. Don't use WIB ATMs.

Reading Bob Clement's comments in your Week 37 Newsletter on September 11th
dealing with the Rich's unauthorized/improper barring of Pelican owners from the
Marina Pool area, again raised the hair on the back of my neck. Those
unfortunate owners who only have one week vacation and whose units are in that
general area were deprived of 14% of their anticipated vacation facilities. As I
have seen no
indication of what has been done to prevent the recurrence of such an event, I
would suggest that we would all feel somewhat better if you were able to publish
a copy of the letter which I am sure our Board of Directors and/or Pelican's
Administration would have sent to the Rich's. This could supplement Bob

BOOK EXCHANGE AT PELICAN B POOL
If anyone has any books, noodles or craft materials that they have enjoyed using
while at the resort but would rather not take back with them, they can always
leave them with me. I have a fairly large book exchange but new materials always
appreciated. Also, If anyone has BOOKS ON TAPE or CD and would like to bring
them down for me, I would appreciate it. I would like to start a listening book

is a memberbased company that provides its members with emergency air
transportation to their own medical providers when they suffer a critical
illness or injury when traveling more than 100 air miles from home. Area of
coverage is the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Rates vary,
however as an example, we will provide coverage for a family for 7 days for as
little as $79.00. Plans can be as few as four days and as long as five years. As
an incentive to Pelican members we are offering reduced rates until March 1,
2004. Further information can be viewed on our web site at www.skymed.com or you
can call our office at 8004759633. It is important to note that if a member
requires our services they are transported to their home base and not the
nearest medical facility. A Pelican member, Charles Legg was happy he had
enrolled. Unfortunately, Mr. Legg experienced a serious medical problem and he
had to be flown to his hospital in New Jersey. Because he was a SkyMed member,
his cost was zero. (Dave and I are members).
